1. Data controller
CAM Distribution, 197 rue de Lourmel, 75015 Paris, France. For any question about your data, use the website contact form.
2. Data we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect the information you enter:
- your name, company name, email address and country;
- your phone number and type of business (optional);
- the content of your message.
Only the fields marked as required are needed to handle your request. When you browse the site, technical data (IP address, date and time, requested pages) is processed by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Replying to your enquiry and preparing a possible business relationship (pre-contractual steps and CAM Distribution’s legitimate interest in answering professionals who contact it);
- Keeping the site secure and running (legitimate interest);
- Handling any request to exercise your rights or legal claims (legal obligation, legitimate interest).
Your data is not sold, not used for marketing without your agreement, and not subject to automated decision-making.
4. Recipients and processors
Your data is intended only for authorised CAM Distribution staff. It is processed on our behalf by:
- Formspree, Inc. (United States), which receives contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email;
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg), which hosts the site;
- Google Ireland Limited, whose Google Fonts service provides the site’s typefaces: when a page is displayed, your browser contacts Google’s servers, which therefore receive your IP address.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, notably in the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).
6. Retention
Your enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle it, then for a maximum of 3 years after our last exchange. Technical connection data is kept by the hosting provider for a limited period.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to its processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights, use the website contact form. We may ask for proof of identity if there is reasonable doubt.
8. Complaints
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07), or with your local authority.
9. Security and changes
Communication with the site is encrypted (HTTPS). We may update this policy; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
